Career

Michele Masin concluded his musical studies in 2019 with top marks and honors at the “Benedetto Marcello” music conservatory in Venice with Maestro Dario Bisso Sabadìn.

Masin is the youngest winner of the 2014 New York GuitArt Festival, won at 16 years old. His solo guitar piece “Venetian Ballad” was performed at the “Rubin Gallery” art gallery in Manhattan, NY, U.S.A. Masin is also the youngest among the Banaue International Music Composition Competition ‘2018 won at the age of 20, his piece for symphony orchestra “The Rise Of Banaue” was performed by the symphony orchestra of M° Chino Toledo in Banaue, Ifugao, “UNESCO SITE WORLD HERITAGE”, Philippines. Subsequently performed at the “Manila Cultural Center” theater, Pasay City, Manila, Philippines.

Masin’s work he was defined as “Brilliant” by Kee Yong Chong, one of the greatest contemporary composers on the Asian continent.

Masin is the winner of the “Los Angeles New Emerging Artist Award”, his operatic piece “Morning Love” is performed in Los Angeles, CA, U.S.A.

Masin is also the winner of the “Città Murata” competition ‘2011 with a score of 99/100 and among the finalists of the “International Festival of sound and Art” competition in Bolzano, Italy.

Between the years 2011-2022 he deepened his study of the classical guitar guitar, transcriptions and musical aesthetics with Maestro Dario Bisso Sabadìn and participated in important masterclasses with: Hans Zimmer (twice Oscar winner), Dennis Sands (Emmy winner, and two times nominated for an Oscar), Jono Buchanan (professor at the Guildhall School of music and drama in London), Ramon Santos, Ricardo Lorenz (Professor at the Mitchigan conservatory), Chinary Ung (professor at UCSD in San Diego and UCLA in Los Angeles), Verne Dela Pena, Kee Yong Chong (professor at the Royal Danish Academy of Music), Antonio Africa (professor at the University of Santo Tomas, Royal & Pontificial Manila) and many others foundamental figures in the Modern Music Industry.

Masin, as guitarist, has performed in numerous national and international concerts. Among which: Ca’Rezzonico Museum, Venice. Italy on the occasion of the LVIII edition of the Venice Biennale.

Masin is an expert teacher of the first age group, his teaching method for children has been defined as “brilliant” by the commission of the “Benedetto Marcello” conservatory.

Masin has published 2 guitar manuals for children: My First Blues Book ISBN: 979-8696451718 and Duckie Wth Strings ISBN 979-8840289655, the latter was described by the South American guitarist V.M. Gomez as: “Preparatory for the guitar study of the new generations”

Expert transcriptionist Masin publishes the guitar manual “Classical Guitar, transcription techniques” in 2021. ISBN: 979-8589455670 Cited on the Wikipedia page of “La Chitarra” as a reliable source, it is recognized as the first guitar transcription manual ever published.

Native English speaker, he has worked on musical philosophy and historical musical languages. Masin publishes the book “The Artwork Of The Future” in 2021. A book in English that explores Wagnerian and Weberian philosophy through the writings of German composers of the late 19th century.

he is currently a composer of film soundtracks, and incorporates the use of the classical guitar into film composition. Masin has created soundtracks for the following films:
